Did you know that it is customary for a Jewish wedding to happen after the sun sets if you marry on a Saturday? Our clients Lisa and Hugh didn’t let that stop them from having one of the coolest weddings we’ve ever done. Lisa attended the cocktail reception wearing a black raven-feathered gown, then changed into her white Vera Wang wedding gown just after sunset. She dazzled everyone as she walked down the aisle to their chuppah that was encircled by chairs. There was no bad seat at this wedding!

Every detail was stunning at this wedding, from the cufflinks to the cake. Lisa and Hugh loved other La Casa weddings they had seen at the La Quinta Resort and chose it for their wedding location. It  was perfect for this fashion forward couple. It was private for their wedding guests to feel as if they were in their own little village. La Quinta resort is perfect for destination weddings in Palm Springs because there are groups of hotel rooms that encircle pools, so essentially, you book all of the rooms around one pool and voila! Instant destination wedding oasis!

Note the plastic sides on the dining tent. We had to add them last minute because of the strong desert winds that were blowing through the weekend of their wedding. The guests were blown away from the lovely design details and setting and not from the gusty winds.
